Creative Writing

Jack was a trained commercial artist. He produced freelance works on commission, commercial art and advertising in the corporate world, and created pieces for his own enjoyment.

He graduated from the New York Phoenix School of Design. His interest in art growing up shaped his decision to become a commercial artist. He studied with teachers like Franklin Booth, the renowned American illustrator. After graduation, he taught at the Phoenix School off and on for 19 years, and was at times a trustee. He began working in the corporate world in the late '50's. During his business career, he won many awards for creative advertising work.

Jack's painting was generally very detailed and meticulous. He was much freer in his creative writing.
